Welcome to Kin Pilates. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for every client. These Terms & Conditions explain how our studio operates and are designed to ensure fairness for all members and clients.
By booking or attending any class, course, workshop, private session or event with Kin Pilates Ltd, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Us
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Kin Pilates Ltd (“Kin Pilates”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Bookings
All classes must be booked in advance through our online booking system.
Bookings are subject to availability.Your place is not guaranteed until your booking has been confirmed.
Kin Pilates reserves the right to refuse bookings where payment has not been received or
where a member’s account is in arrears.
3. Waitlists
If a class is full, members may join the waitlist.
If a space becomes available more than 24hrs before the class, you will be automatically added to the class.
Once you have been added from the waitlist, the normal cancellation policy applies.
If a space becomes available less than 24hrs before the class, you will be offered the space in the class to accept or decline.
Members are responsible for managing their own bookings and removing themselves from the waitlist if they no longer wish to attend.
4. Class Cancellation Policy
Members may cancel or reschedule a class up to 24 hours before the class start time.
Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as attended and the class credit will be forfeited.
This policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness, travel or changes to personal circumstances.
If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your place as soon as possible so another client may attend.
5. Studio Cancellation Policy
To provide the best possible experience for our clients, Kin Pilates reserves the right to cancel classes where minimum attendance numbers have not been met.
A minimum of two participants is required for a class to run.
Where possible, clients will be notified in advance.
If Kin Pilates cancels a class:
class credits will be returned to your account;
no cancellation fee will apply.
Kin Pilates also reserves the right to change instructors, timetables or class formats where reasonably necessary.
6. Private Sessions
Private sessions require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged in full.
7. Courses & Workshops
Courses and workshops are booked as complete programmes.
Missed sessions cannot usually be refunded or transferred.
Where exceptional circumstances arise, Kin Pilates may offer an alternative at its discretion.
8. Payments
All classes, memberships, workshops and services must be paid for in advance.
Payments are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise.
Gift vouchers, class packs and prepaid services cannot be exchanged for cash.
9. Pricing
Prices may change from time to time.
Where membership pricing changes, existing members will receive at least 30 days’ notice.
Current pricing is always available on our website.
10. Health & Medical Information
By attending Kin Pilates you confirm that:
you are physically able to participate;
you have disclosed any medical conditions that may affect your participation;
you will inform your instructor of any changes to your health.
If you have concerns regarding your health, we recommend seeking advice from your GP or healthcare professional before attending.
Kin Pilates reserves the right to refuse participation where we reasonably believe exercise may present a risk.
11. Pregnancy & Postnatal Clients
Pregnant and postnatal clients must inform Kin Pilates before attending.
Our instructors will modify exercises where appropriate.
Participation remains at the client’s own risk and should be undertaken with appropriate medical guidance where required.
12. Following Instructor Guidance
For your own safety, clients agree to follow instructor guidance at all times.
Kin Pilates reserves the right to stop any exercise where we believe continuing would place a client at risk.
13. Personal Belongings
Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the owner.
Kin Pilates accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items.
14. Dress Code
Grip socks must be worn for all Reformer Pilates classes.
Appropriate exercise clothing should be worn.
For hygiene and equipment protection, shoes must be removed before entering the studio.
15. Photography & Marketing
From time to time we may take photographs or videos during classes, workshops or events for use on our website, social media or marketing materials.
If you would prefer not to appear in any photographs or videos, please let your instructor know before class begins.
We will always respect your wishes.
16. Intellectual Property
All course materials, handouts, videos, online content and educational resources remain the intellectual property of Kin Pilates Ltd.
They may not be copied, reproduced, shared or distributed without our written permission.
17. Behaviour
We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment.
Kin Pilates reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any client whose behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unsafe towards staff or other clients.
No refund will be provided where access is refused due to inappropriate behaviour.
18. Liability
Whilst every effort is made to provide a safe environment, participation in Pilates carries an inherent risk.
Clients participate at their own risk.
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
19. Force Majeure
Kin Pilates shall not be liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by circumstances outside
our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
severe weather
illness
power failure
government restrictions
pandemics
flooding
fire
Where possible we will endeavour to offer an alternative session or credit.
20. Changes to these Terms
Kin Pilates reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continued attendance following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
21. Goodwill
At Kin Pilates we understand that life doesn’t always go to plan.
From time to time we may choose to make exceptions to these Terms & Conditions in exceptional circumstances.
Any goodwill gesture, extension, credit, waiver or exception is made entirely at the discretion of Kin Pilates and does not create an ongoing entitlement or establish a precedent for future decisions.
